Stay Motivated While Remote Working

Remote working sounds fun at the start.

However, after some time, it can get tiring, especially now that most people do remote work inside their houses.

It can eventually feel lonely, and motivation might become a problem in the long run.

So, here are some tips to stay motivated while doing remote work.

Wake Up Early

First things first, wake up early.

Yes, just because you’re working from home, it doesn’t mean you have the pass to wake up late every day.

Get enough rest, and then wake up early to have control over your day by planning and preparing everything before starting your work.

Create a Routine

Waking up early and creating a routine are connected when it comes to a person’s daily well-being and motivation.

Daily rituals or routines can create a sense of control for a person and helps in directing an individual towards their goal

Small achievements brought by finishing tasks under a routine can develop one’s motivation.

Take Regular Breaks

Working continuously can be exhausting and eventually can affect a person’s productivity and will to work.

That’s why taking regular breaks is crucial.

University of Illinois study found out that taking short breaks from your main task allows you to focus more on your work.

One of the most common methods people use in taking those breaks is the Pomodoro technique

People who use this technique work on their tasks for 25 minutes then take a break for 5 minutes.

After doing those four times, a person can then take longer beaks for 15-30 minutes.

Change Your Environment

If something is not working for you, change it, the same with your environment.

Sometimes, fresh air or different scenery can push a person to feel motivated again.

For people working inside their houses, go to another room or change the position of your computer or desk so things will not become too repetitive.
