However, since remote workers do not work in an in-house setup with other co-workers and their managers or supervisors, it can sometimes get lonely.

Establish Regular Reports or Check-Ins

Routines are vital, especially now during the pandemic, because people need more stability with the stuff that they do or are exposed to. 

Moreover, establishing regular calls or check-ins with their employees can be a good way to do better collaboration work.

Include Different Options to Communicate

Communication is one of the most crucial aspects of remote working. 

Since remote working removes face to face interactions, there must be ways to communicate questions, clarifications, or updates that are not in regular reports. 

Also, it’s good to introduce different types of tools for communication between remote workers and the manager like email, instant messaging, video messaging, or other platforms, depending on the need. 

For example, in some cases, where visual cues are important, people can opt for video communication rather than just email or other messaging platforms.

Remote working can be lonely for some people, especially if remote workers only do their work inside their homes.  

Giving words of encouragement or support is critical, especially in boosting the productivity of one’s employee, be it in a remote setting or not.  

Moreover, it also gives a remote employee an idea that they are in the right direction when it comes to what they are doing.
